8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 2nd)

1. Battle For The IC Title

The end of the Miz/Cesaro Intercontinental Championship match at Payback telegraphed what happened Monday night, as WWE continued down the path of a four-way rivalry for the IC title.

Unlike previous multi-man feuds over the secondary championship, this time you have hard-hitting, athletic and popular superstar fighting for the title and Miz. (Sorry, just kidding.) Cesaro, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn all clearly want Miz€™s Intercontinental Championship, and any combination of the four would produce a hell of a good bout if given time. It€™s a good problem to have.

The only downside to this four-man feud is that you could have them all trading wins between them for weeks on end, and thus have the dreaded 50/50 problem, with no one emerging stronger. And it€™s tough to choose who as a fan you€™d rather see get ahead, because it would likely mean that two of them would fall behind.

But again, this is a good problem to have. If the IC title is going to actually be treated as more than a prop for someone to lose, then WWE could be onto something.
