8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 26th)

4. Still Too Swiss

After a ridiculous showing last night during the Hell in a Cell kickoff show, Cesaro was riding high, almost single-handedly delivering his team€™s victory with a rousing performance. Fast-forward 24 hours, and the Swiss Superman was eating a pinfall in a match to compete for the number one contendership. So much for a push. Cesaro sadly is in this weird perpetual limbo where fans react to him better than some €œbigger€ stars and he consistently delivers stellar performances inside the ring, but he keeps losing. In this case, he dominated the match against Kevin Owens, but the Intercontinental Champion outsmarted him by waiting in the ropes until he could superkick a distracted Cesaro and hit a Pop-Up Powerbomb for the win. While it€™s disappointing, it was a really good match with a good finish that made sense. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NmiByqaw9k It feels like fans desperately want to get behind Cesaro for a big push, but the WWE higher-ups aren€™t intent on letting that happen. For now, we€™ll just have to be content with really entertaining matches and disappointing endings.
