No one thought that Molly Holly, Kelly Kelly or Ivory were going to win the women’s battle royal and secure a title shot. But tossing all the legends in rapid fashion was a bit much, don’t you think?

After a cool visual of the current roster of women surrounding the legends, things broke down into a standard battle royal. Almost immediately, the legends were tossed. Five of the first six women eliminated (once the match really got underway) were legends, leaving just two: Michelle McCool and Ivory.

While there was no reason to expect them all to go deep into the match, it just was jarring to see them all go bang-bang-bang over the top the way they did. It made their appearance look like it was for a nostalgia pop to fill a spot.
