8 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (April 20)

1. Champ Gets Made A Chump

Why is it that WWE seems to love making their champions look like goofs? It seems like when someone wins a title, they are more susceptible to losing nontitle matches or getting shown up.

Monday, Andrade fell victim to Drew McIntyre on multiple occasions, looking like a midcard geek rather than WWE’s United States Champion. El Idolo tried to jump the WWE Champion in the opening segment, but McIntyre rebounded and Claymore kicked him twice, sending him scurrying. Then in the main event, Andrade accompanied Angel Garza to the ring for his match against Drew, only for the champ to once again take him out en route to defeating Garza.

All of this came after Andrade lost cleanly to McIntyre last week in Raw’s main event, so this isn’t some isolated, one-week bump in the road.

Sure, Andrade defeated Akira Tozawa in his own match in between the beat-downs, but that doesn’t make up getting owned by McIntyre twice.
