8. Crews Nets PPV Appearance

Hats off to Apollo Crews, who parlayed his jump to Raw earlier this month into a spot in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match Monday night.

Crews now will compete in his first non-battle royal or Royal Rumble PPV match in more than two years next month. He accomplished this by shutting up MVP, who talked a little trash beforehand but couldn’t slow down Apollo, who kicked out of the Playmaker en route to victory.

For years, the rub has been that Crews has all the athletic tools to be successful by hasn’t put it all together. One win and a PPV appearance certainly isn’t indicative of anything, but it’s still good to see an under-utilized wrestler get a chance to shine for a change.
