8 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 3)

7. Gable Resurgent

You wouldn’t be alone if you thought that Bobby Roode was going to turn on Chad Gable after their tag match.

The new duo defeated the Ascension in pretty short order, with Roode taking all the heat and Gable just running crazy on Viktor and Konnor with suplexes galore. At the end, Chad took out Viktor, hit a cannonball off the apron onto Konnor, nailed Viktor with a missile dropkick and planted him with a rolling deadlift German suplex for the pin. He was a one-man wrecking crew.

This tag team might be a short-lived one, and we still could see Roode finally turn heel and play the arrogant character he did so well in NXT. But for now, this was at least a duo with some energy behind it.
