8 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 3)

6. A Blissful Homecoming

Last week, Elias insulted Toronto, leading hometown heroine Trish Stratus to come out and defend the city against the troubadour.

Monday, Elias took aim at Columbus, Ohio, and hometown girl Alexa Bliss (Stratus’ opponent at Evolution) walked down the ramp to interject. She noted she was from Columbus, lead the faithful in an “OH-IO!” chant – and then promptly turned on the fans. But she kept going, saying she got out of that dump as fast as she could, noting that everyone else were a bunch of zombies who repeated the chant and went nowhere.

Yes, hometown heat for heels is an old-school method to piss off the crowd, but Bliss is a natural at it. Between her and Elias (“The Buckeye… the least intimidating mascot”), it was a fun little segment.
