8 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 3)

6. A Missed Opportunity

Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler winning the Raw Tag Team Championships is probably the right call at this time. Anything is better than the B-Team continuing to win by accident.

And while it made perfect sense for them to take out The Revival to steal their tag title shot, the writers missed a huge opportunity to tell a better story in the aftermath.

While Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were beaten up badly enough to not be able to compete, they certainly weren’t pummeled to the point where they couldn’t do anything. It might have been a stretch for The Revival to attack Ziggler and McIntyre while they were celebrating their title win, but even having the duo go to Acting GM Baron Corbin and demand a title match for next week would have showed that they are tough and not taking that beating lying down.

Anything would have been better than being left lying and never seen again. And fair warning: If there’s no mention of them demanding a title shot next week, then that is an automatic down right there.
