7. Not Buying What Rousey Isn’t Selling

The Alexa Bliss/Natalya match was just a backdrop for the ongoing Bliss/Ronda Rousey feud, and while that’s OK, the execution was definitely off.

After Bliss won (with some help from Mickie James and Alicia Fox), Rousey chased Alexa off, only to be attacked by the former champ and Fox. Bliss hit a chop block on Rousey and dumped her to the floor, then rammed her into the steps. She tossed the Raw Women’s Champion back into the ring, only for Rousey to immediately fend her off.

And that was it. Fox and James stayed on the floor and Bliss quickly took a powder after a few punches from Ronda. The announcers tried to sell that Rousey was hurt, and she later was in the locker room holding her ribs, but that was the extent of it.

It felt like there was supposed to be more to the attack than what happened, and it came off clunky. That’s to be expected given Rousey’s lack of experience, so it just gets a mild “down” here.
