8 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 30)

Ups...

8. Tag Team Hype Men

On one hand, it€™s kinda sad that WWE has to turn to one of the few acts on the roster that gets a consistent reaction to spur interest in a segment. This isn€™t the first time New Day was used to create attention and get a reaction from the crowd for someone else. But at the same time, Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are just so good at it that they should feel proud they€™re relied upon like this. The trio riled up the Pittsburgh crowd simply by defacing a yellow towel, which if you€™re an NFL fan you know that it€™s the €œTerrible Towel€ that Steelers fans wave during football games. Big E used the towel to mop his sweaty brow€ and wipe his armpits and blow his nose. That was enough to turn the crowd on them as they introduced WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFDyneaqV1U As long as WWE doesn€™t use the Tag Team Champions as a crutch to put over other acts regularly, this type of thing can work well. But if they do it again next week and the week after€ then we€™re looking at a problem, not a positive.
