8 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 30)

6. OMG, TMZ!

Do you think that WWE gets paid every time someone name-drops tabloid outlet TMZ on Raw? It was hard to keep count, but it€™s safe to say that between the announcers, Miz and the graphics, TMZ was mentioned a half-dozen times as Rusev and Lana€™s engagement was dredged back up to restart the duo€™s storyline. WWE has had a weird symbiotic relationship with TMZ for some time now, with the outlet €œbreaking€ news about WWE performers and then the items are reported on Raw, including surprise appearances or even WWE Hall of Fame inductions. It€™s strange to see a gossip outlet operate in close conjunction with an entertainment company like WWE, but it continues. And WWE continues to name-drop TMZ as if fans care where the news came from.
