The first match in the new era for the Divas division was a good first step, though it didnt rise to the heights of some of the NXT Womens Championship battles fans have seen during the past year. Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Brie Bella battled in a triple threat match that succeeded where other Divas matches have failed: it focused on a cohesive match, rather than going for a couple big spots (like the Tower of Doom superplex/electric chair combo) in lieu of actual wrestling. The match wasnt on par with some of Charlotte and Sashas past battles, but its hard to put the blame on Brie she hung in there. (Although fans gave her a hard time, booing everything she did.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1drbHE123A While things didnt click as well as they could have, the women kicked off this new era with a better PPV match than whats been seen in some time. Hopefully its a foundation to build on.
