8 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Battleground 2015

4. Opening Shots Of Women€™s Revolution

The first match in the new era for the Divas division was a good first step, though it didn€™t rise to the heights of some of the NXT Women€™s Championship battles fans have seen during the past year. Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Brie Bella battled in a triple threat match that succeeded where other Divas€™ matches have failed: it focused on a cohesive match, rather than going for a couple big spots (like the Tower of Doom superplex/electric chair combo) in lieu of actual wrestling. The match wasn€™t on par with some of Charlotte and Sasha€™s past battles, but it€™s hard to put the blame on Brie €“ she hung in there. (Although fans gave her a hard time, booing everything she did.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1drbHE123A While things didn€™t click as well as they could have, the women kicked off this new era with a better PPV match than what€™s been seen in some time. Hopefully it€™s a foundation to build on.
