First things first, some old heads are gonna' be turned.

To hardcore fans, WWE has become about as thrilling a weekly watch as the Antiques Roadshow, and that has to change quickly. The move to FOX for SmackDown and the emerging impact of AEW means this is an important time for WWE. They need all the fans they can muster, and that's why this move makes sense.

The names Heyman and Bischoff mean something to an older generation who have been turning their noses up at WWE's product with alarming regularity over the past few years. It might be a short term fix, but putting established faces in office and assuring everyone of their power gives those fans some hope that the on screen product might start to show some improvement.

Anyone who recalls Heyman's stint in charge of ECW or his work on the SmackDown creative team years ago will know what he offers. Similarly, Bischoff should be given limitless kudos for the exciting, revolutionary way he turned WCW around in the mid-90s. That was a company in a worse state than WWE.
