8 Ways Bischoff & Heyman Will Impact WWE TV

6. Looser Announcing?

There's a reason that question mark is at the end of that sub-heading. As most fans know, Vince McMahon is the one who mans the headset at Gorilla and bawls instructions at his announcers on Raw and SmackDown. A former announcer himself, Vince knows the party line, terminology and structure he wants commentators to give, and he's reportedly very strict about it.

Both Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff have worked extensively as announcers themselves, so it'd be foolish not to ask their opinions on how things are handled. Plus, as an extension of the previous point, it would be nice to have some differences in presentation across Raw and SmackDown.

That points needs hammering home: SmackDown still, after all these years, feels like an extension of Raw rather than its own entity.

This could necessitate something bold, like longtime "Voice Of WWE" Michael Cole moving back to his SmackDown roots and Paul Heyman installing a younger, edgier character who could jive with teenagers. Just a suggestion, and slightly off base, but nonetheless a fascinating, tantalising prospect that announcing in WWE may be impacted.
