2. It Doesn't Prepare Stars For The Rigours of Touring
This is a point that might become moot quite soon because Triple H has made it very clear that he wants NXT to become a travelling show. That process has already begun, with NXT doing shows in California for Wrestlemania Weekend and in Ohio for the Arnold Classic. But for the most part, NXT is all based in one place: Full Sail University in Florida. This is in stark contrast to how the main roster operates. With RAW and Smackdown in a different state every week, the European Tours and house shows all over the globe, WWE Superstars find themselves almost constantly on the road. While this experience is not as bad if you are successful and can afford things like your own tour bus, the rigours of the road have sapped many a wrestler's enthusiasm for the sport. Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar are just two examples of world-class talents who walked away from money and pro-wrestling stardom in their prime because they hated 'the road'. While many of its more seasoned indy veterans are versed and ready for the trials of touring, for the superstars grown at NXT, the kick up to the big leagues will be a huge shock to their system.
