8 Ways NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn Will Overshadow WWE SummerSlam

1. You Just Know Something Huge Will Happen

Looking back at the past few NXT TakeOver's, they've all finished with pretty major surprises (Kevin Owens betraying Sami Zayn, Owens winning the title via referee stoppage, Samoa Joe making his WWE debut). With this one taking place on such a grand stage, you have to believe that another massive swerve will be thrown at us by the time it comes to an end. Ending the night with Owens or Balor standing tall with the NXT Championship after a hard fought battle would be no bad thing of course, but something big has to happen to make this memorable and prove to fans that it's worth their time paying to go to an NXT Live event - televised or otherwise - because anything might happen. The WWE surely won't want NXT TakeOver to steal the spotlight from SummerSlam, but they're going to want to avoid it being overshadowed as well. So, what could happen to ensure NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn has a lasting impact? If I had to hazard a guess, Hideo Itami - who is scheduled to make an appearance - will reveal that it was Balor who attacked him in that parking lot before their scheduled Triple Threat a few months back, turning the Demon heel in the process and setting up a new main event programme. If there's one thing these NXT TakeOver events have established though, it's that we should expect the unexpected, so who knows how things will play out. In all honesty though, chances are that whatever it is probably won't be topped by SummerSlam...
