8 Ways The Rock's WWE Return Ruined John Cena

6. John Cena's Argument Against The Rock Seemed Petty

The week after Rocky's comedy roast of Cena, it was time for the leader of the Cenation to respond and he decided to do so with an old school rap. The rap was pretty entertaining but what we found out is that the Cena character's reasons for disliking The Rock came across as petty and unreasonable. "It's because I wasn't talking trash Rock, I was speaking truth, you left us high and dry to play a fairy with a tooth?" - John Cena, February 21st, 2011. The crux of the Cena argument was that Rock had left to become a movie star and now he was coming back but it wasn't for good. It made Cena look like he was jealous of Rock's success and was clutching at straws in order to insult Johnson. Throughout the two years of their feud, that was the basis for Cena' dislike of The Rock; the fact that after a major pay-per-view, Rock would leave and go back to Hollywood. What made it worse is that the fans didn't seem to care, they were just happy to have Rock back in the fold. They didn't mind that he went back to his day job because when he was around, he was entertaining as hell.
