4. John Cena Wouldn't Embrace The Hate
After Cena got Rock Bottomed at Survivor Series, the company seemed to take the Cena character in a fascinating direction by teasing him going to the dark side and embracing the hate. This edition of Piper's Pit is my favourite scene from that time, the the Hall of Famer trying to goad him into snapping and embracing the hate rather than always trying to be the better man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zp37g1ruR0 The audience chants of "Cena Sucks" were getting louder and it seemed like he might at least develop an edge that could tweak his character and freshen it up a little bit. But instead, it was merely a tease and Cena stayed the exact same character and it continued to hurt him, week in and week out.
