8 Ways WWE Can Revive Neville's Career

6. Gimmick Change Or Embrace The Gimmick?

A huge sigh of relief was breathed when Neville debuted on Raw with his eye-catching purple getup, rather than the rumoured Mighty Mouse attire it was believed Vince had earmarked for him. Even though he moves around like a superhero, has the physique of a superhero and WWE produced graphics that turned him into a comic book character, Neville's gimmick leaves a lot to be desired, at least in its present state. Okay, so he has a cape and he has the cool entrance and everything, but we essentially know nothing about character's his motivations. This is a problem. While you cannot fault WWE for wanting to cash-in on the popularity of superheros, it's hard not to think that they might not have thought this all the way through. Neville might look like he's sprung from the pages of Marvel's latest, but he's not exactly being given a lot of work with, as far as getting the superhero thing over. Perhaps it's time that WWE drop the gimmick and go with something else? Failing that, they could always, you know, push the gimmick more, give him promo time, vignettes and the like in order to get it over more. Neville looks like a character, but he (or WWE) needs to start showing some.
