8 Weirdest WWE Romances Ever

God bless you, Vince McMahon, you absolutely crazy genius. The Chairman of WWE was one of the company's major on-screen characters during the Attitude Era and he was a great foil for top stars like Steve Austin and The Rock. One of the most confident talkers in the business and capable of pulling a decent match out of his backside, fans enjoyed his zany exploits.

What they didn't enjoy, however, was the sight of the 'Genetic Jackhammer' frequently lock lips with and grope women around half of his age. He did it with Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, Sable and Candice Michelle, but the most uncomfortable by far was his dalliance with Trish Stratus. Poor Trish, former supermodel-cum-WWE's plaything. No wonder she wanted to become a wrestler so bad in mid-2001, since it got her away from storylines like this (well, kind of).

The story started with the flirtatious Stratus and virile Vince started off by claiming they were 'just friends' but nobody, least of all Vince's daughter Stephanie, believe it. It was hard to refute the sight of Vince making out with Trish right in front of his apparently comatose wife on an episode of Smackdown.

Yikes.

The romance continued to blossom until Trish and Steph and had a match at No Way Out. In the messy aftermath of that match, Vince seemed to side with Steph, with Daddy and Daughter memorably 'mopping up' Trish in the middle of the ring on Raw, covering in her in some sort of awful sewage material.

Vince proclaimed that Trish was a 'toy' and that he was 'tired of playing with her' in a distasteful segment. But the bizarre romance continued the following week with the infamous 'bark like a dog' segment, where Vince made Trish do her best canine impression while stripped down to her underwear. It was uncomfortable viewing for many, but Vince and Trish seemingly left it as a couple.

The fling finally came to an end at WrestleMania X-Seven, when Trish ran in during Vince's street fight with son Shane and slapped the boss right accross the face. Adequate payback for months of being humiliated and portrayed as some sort of brainless sex kitten? Debatable, but at least she got some retribution for this truly weird romance angle.
