Amy 'Lita' Dumas was one of the most revolutionary female performers WWE have ever had on their books. She was so much different from what had come before her, with her high-flying antics and flame-red hair. She, along with Trish Stratus, are rightly looked at as pioneers in the women's division, helping ushering in a new era in women's wrestling.

Regrettably, she too was used as a storyline pawn in a feud involving two men. Lita had endured a rock on-screen relationship with her then-boyfriend Matt Hardy, having broken up and gotten back together on several occasions. The two got back together in spring 2004 when Kane began stalking the WWE Hall of Famer.

Unfortunately for Hardy, he continued to be pummelled into oblivion every time he tried to stop The Big Red Machine. Lita acquiesced to Kane's demands, on the condition that he leave poor Matt alone. That's the polite way of saying 'Lita agreed to continuously have sex with Kane so that he wouldn't chokeslam her actual boyfriend'. I'm pretty sure that's actual rape, but I digress...

Things got more complicated when it turned out that Lita was pregnant with Kane's child. No wonder Matt is so BROKEN these days. He and Kane squared off in a 'Till Death Do Us Part' match at SummerSlam, with the winner gaining Lita's hand in marriage. Kane won, obviously, and then sent Matt sailing off the Raw stage the next evening the night after.

This is where things get even weirder, because Kane and Lita were about to become a babyface couple! After Gene Snitsky caused Lita to miscarry, The Devil's Favourite Demon became a good guy, avenging the death of his unborn baby. Yes, the man who had essentially raped Lita just a couple of months prior was now fighting for her honour - and he had her approval, too!

So on Mr and Mrs. Kane continued as an amicable unit, only breaking up when news of Lita's affair with Edge became public knowledge.
