8 Wrestlers AEW Just Can't Get Over
6. Brandi Rhodes
Brandi Rhodes’ efforts in AEW present a gulf between business and TV.
Backstage, as an executive, Brandi is well-regarded for her hard work and passion for AEW. But her on-screen incarnation is less successful.
Though Brandi is a fixture on TV, she has only competed in 15 matches to date. The first real push to get her over as an in-ring competitor was her pairing with Allie as The Nightmare Sisters, which ultimately fizzled out. It is an interesting statistic that Brandi has only suffered a singles loss.
Fans have not reacted well to Brandi's prominence. They have oscillated between boredom and frustration, with The Nightmare Collective, in particular, stoking the latter. She could use these simmering sentiments to become a solid heel manager to her husband, who is threatening to go full-on Homelander on the locker room. She clearly has the ability to make an impact on the fandom, and the drive and dedication to rise to the challenge.
Like her husband, Brandi isn't going anywhere. Hopefully some solid heel booking can make her someone we relish to see on screen.
