8 Wrestlers Being Buried By WWE's Scripted Promos
6. Braun Strowman
Yeah, that transition was almost as awkward as that tag exchange between Fury and Strowman. This is exactly the kind of awful moment that the recent scripting creates. What were we even supposed to gather from that anyway? Fury looked prepared for a fight in his casual on top, barney on the bottom outfit. Luchasaurus has proven half man half dinosaurs are dangerous monsters in the ring.
But then after insulting Strowman out to the ring, they just... hugged and made nice? Like their moms just told them they weren't going to the park if they didn't behave? And the awful verbal exchange they had just made it all the worse. Braun really had to utter the stupidly predictable and skin crawling inducing line of "there ain't two dudes in the back stupid enough to fight us unless they're trying to get all four of these hands." I just want you to know my palm is on my face right now as I am typing this. Just to give you the visual at home.
How are we supposed to believe he is the "monster among men" when he is coming to the ring to nicely hug it out with the guy who knocked him out in Saudi Arabia? Remember Braun told him he was going to "literally eat him for lunch"? Whatever the hell that means? After all the build up and the insults exchanged, he just comes to the ring and shakes hands like a good little boy. The visual is bad, but once again it is the words that Tyson said that just confirm it.
He isn't a monster. He's a big dosser. The script says so, after all.
