8 Wrestlers To Carry NXT Over The Next Year

During the new introduction sequence to NXT, you may have noticed who is now front and centre. One is the current NXT Champion - the other is Candice LeRae.
WrestleMania marks the end of WWE's season, and thus, triggers a fresh start. The Women’s Division on the yellow brand has enjoyed an impressive year. Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler have been at the forefront of the division. ‘The Pirate Princess’ has now moved to SmackDown, which leaves a position at the top.
Candice opened the 'new season' in NXT by having the first match on NXT post-WrestleMania 35. This was a nod that she will be front and centre of the Women's Division in NXT going forward.
Over this last year, she has been playing her part in the Johnny Gargano story. This helped add to his storied rivalry with Tommaso Ciampa.
That story is now over. It is time to develop the story of Candice Le Rae.
