Buzzing his bean bald upon Stephanie McMahon appointing him as the Constable of Raw, Baron Corbin's trip to the backstage barbers was a long overdue journey. His mane wasn't so much lusciously flowing down his back as much as it was glued on, as though Corbin were a character in Roald Dahl's The Witches, and considering it was receding at a quicker pace than the McMahon family reneging on their promise to improve the WWE product ahead of a depressing 2019, Corbin's locks had to go.

Bald, Baron was a new man. It would be another few years before his streamlined scalp began displaying any career-enhancing benefits, but it would be difficult to argue that Corbin didn't produce the best work of his career without his stringy hair soaking up the atmosphere. His second run in NXT and accompanying rivalry-turned-tag team with Bron Breakker was the leading highlight of Corbin's hairless tenure, a stint that is difficult to picture Baron a part of had he been sporting his traditionally greasy look.

It was a career-saving decision, in short, and one that certainly saved Baron a bob or two on hair conditioner.
