8 Wrestlers Who Can't Hide Their Frustration RIGHT NOW
7. Brian Cage
Brian Cage is an exciting, eye-catching wrestler in the right context. He's in the wrong context at present.
Cage was quick to defend his promo game on Twitter recently; he knows he's "no Ric Flair" in his own words, but is of the belief that he can do the job when asked. His frustrations stem from the fact that he isn't. He hasn't worked a single AEW event since October - not even a quick squash or two on Dark to appease him - and this virtual exile has overlapped with his wife's various social media outbursts. Cage - a guy who blows you away on the night without doing much to make you want to see him the next week - believes he's worth more, though he's slightly more tactical in getting the point across.
Cage is not going to not like certain tweets expressing that he should get pushed more. He's not necessarily being snide. He's mostly just acknowledging support, but outright retweeting sentiments that there are worse people in AEW on the mic is very telling.
This passive aggressive behaviour is prevalent on Cage's social media, and one suspects it will remain that way until he inevitably departs.
His frustration has also manifested in puffed-chest display of what he's capable of - but a defiant GIF showcasing what everybody knows he can do isn't likely to change anybody's mind.
