8 Wrestlers Who Could Be Revealed As Leader Of The Dark Order

5. Brodie Lee

Brodie Lee Dark Order
WWE

Pros:

Brodie Lee's aesthetic loosely mirrors that of the Dark Order, in that he has played a somewhat "weird" character for so long that he's synonymous with it. His leading the faction wouldn't look odd. He is available imminently, and AEW has the funds to compete with the mega money ROH is throwing around in a bid to reclaim its lustre. Lee, much like Cesaro, is an outstanding performer who is effectively known for how much WWE neglected his talent. He is over by proxy, and as such will be received by the AEW crowd as a would-be superstar before he even does anything. Recruiting Lee for the role represents an easy solution to a very taxing problem: Hey, the Dark Order aren't good, but Brodie Lee is, so let's see where this goes.

Cons:

There's little dramatic weight or purpose to it. AEW has created a plot hole and a steep expectation here, in that the Exalted One must have a convincing motive to go to such convoluted lengths to disrupt the Elite. Is being misused by WWE enough? Is being misused by WWE even a smart way to go, optics-wise?
