8 Wrestlers Who Could Be The Mystery AEW Casino Ladder Match Entrant
7. Christopher Daniels
Pros:
It was genuinely uplifting to see Christopher Daniels perform to a high level on last week's Dynamite in what was a damn good match with Brodie Lee. He made so much of all of this possible with his tireless work on the independents over decades, much less years, and didn't deserve to be remembered for his pratfall a few months back. The man deserved a good Dynamite showing, and he worked his ass off to get it. Might this inform storyline friction between himself and his SCU stablemates who, pointedly, were announced for this match either ahead of him or in his place altogether? He's the singles wrestler, and it's a singles match, and yet the tag team are involved. This makes little sense, and AEW's booking tends to account for these details. Was he carefully selected as Lee's heater to avenge the defeat - and his perception as the third wheel - as the Fallen Angel? He just wrestled last week. There has to be something in these separate developments unfolding at the same time.
Cons:
This might just be an oversight. Or perhaps it's surmised, quite intelligently, that Daniels doesn't need to be taking super dangerous ladder bumps at this stage of his career.
