4. Terry Funk Pretends He's Been Blinded
In any intense hardcore bout, typically when there are an abundance of sharp objects flying all over the place, Terry Funk has been known to start clasping at his face and screaming much louder than he has at any point in the match leading up to that point. There's pretty much always blood covering his face, and so we're all left to wonder if Funk has been legitimately blinded. But don't worry, he hasn't. Barring the one time he suffered a small, easily-stitched cut to the skin around his eye at ECW's One Night Stand 2006, Funk has never actually suffered a serious eye injury in the ring. That doesn't stop him from pretending it happens on a regular basis, frequently "seeking medical attention mid-match", only to come back fine a couple of minutes later, sometimes wearing an eye patch. According to his on-again, off-again teammate/adversary Mick Foley, he does it just to add a bit of extra realism to his hardcore matches. He certainly sells it, and not in that cheesy way guys like Ric Flair or other self-proclaimed "dirty players" do. It's more than a little unsettling to watch, even after you've seen him do it dozens of times before.
