8 Wrestlers Who Performed Into Their 50s
4. Terry Funk
Wrestling is in Terry Funk's blood, and his blood has been shed in nigh-on every sports arena in the world. The hardcore legend fought his last match at the ripe old age of 71, finally announcing his retirement earlier this year.
It's one thing to carry on wrestling after your 50th, but Funk hit this landmark during his 90s run with ECW... as in Extreme Championship Wrestling. He was no slouch as a technician, but thumb-tacks, barbed wire and flaming tables have become synonymous with Funk, and the sight of his bloodied face is one that will live on in wrestling fans' collective memory for a long time to come.
Funk even rolled back the years at One Night Stand 2006 when, aged 61, he joined forces with Tommy Dreamer and Beulah McGillicutty for an inter-gender hardcore bout with Edge, Mick Foley and Lita, in what will surely go down as one of WWE's most brutal matches ever.
