'Big' Scott Hall was of an era when turning up to town, getting paid, and then forgetting everything that had just happened later that night was par for the course, and he more than most was a big believer in that modus operandi. It's possibly surprising then, to learn the intricate, practically nerdy detail the Diamond Studd went to in ensuring his new character would be a hit when he migrated for Stamford in 1992.

Unlike many of his less media-savvy colleagues, Hall knew the WWF's television set-up could make him a bigger star than the operation in Atlanta ever could, and he immediately set about buddying up with the company's production staff. Every aspect and angle of the Cuban toothpick chewer's presentation was considered in a way that, once it hit the screens, appeared perfectly natural.

Razor Ramon might not have hit the same heights as his clique colleagues on the card, but he was ahead of the curve in recognising the direction the industry was heading.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
