8 Wrestlers Who Quit On Top
5. Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus, a WWE Hall of Famer whose legacy, though slightly exaggerated, as a women's division trailblazer paved the road for the modern era's Women's Evolution, was just 30 years old when she called it quits, having achieved all the limited scope of the era would allow. For the sake of some scarcely believable context, that's the same age fellow Canadian great Bret Hart was when he competed in WrestleMania III's mid-card as a member of the Hart Foundation.
By 2006, despite her relatively tender age, there was nothing left for Stratus to accomplish in wrestling. Having just wed her childhood sweetheart and with TV offers landing in her in-tray, she decided it was time to pursue fresh challenges.
Rather than bury the departing star, WWE demonstrated rare gratitude in allowing Trish a champion's send-off. The Torontonian captured her final Women's Championship in a greatest hits contest with perennial rival Lita, before a hometown crowd at Unforgiven 2006. She retired shortly after.
