8 Wrestlers You Didn't Know HATE Each Other For Real

6. Scott Steiner & Ric Flair

There may never be a more cutting insult uttered in the history of professional wrestling than the one Scott Steiner brutally hurled at Ric Flair during a February 2000 edition of WCW Nitro.

Raging about everything and everyone in sight as the company careered off the rails, Steiner - in between actively putting over WWE and Stone Cold Steve Austin as better than anything the show viewers were watching had to offer - he landed a blow so devastating that it may or may not have contributed to Flair spending the last days of his time in Atlanta working in a shirt.

The soon-to-be World Champion, fresh off a paid suspension leave, said; "I watched a 53-year-old man - who has more loose skin than a Shar Pei puppy - come out here and say he's still the man...In this wrestling business, there's never been a bigger ass-kisser - and you belong where you're at in WCW, because WCW sucks!"

It kind of/sort of played into on-screen stories at the time (Steiner called Flair a "jealous old b*stard" and would eventually be part of Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff's New Blood in opposition of Flair et al in the Millionaire's Club), but everything kind of/sort of played into on-screen stories in the never-ending paradox that was the last full year of the organisation's life. What this really did was illuminate the longstanding dislike between the pair that remains to this day.

Arn Anderson revealed on his ARN podcast that the issues between the two performers started in 1991, with Steiner believing that Flair "tanked" a match because he didn't want to put him over. After that, Steiner had no time or patience for Flair, and that hadn't changed as recently as Flair's last match in 2022. Appearing on the Highspots Sign-It-Live stream, Steiner was informed about his "old friend" lacing up the boots once more. 'The Big Bad Booty Daddy' bit back, saying; "He ain't no old friend of mine. I would kill him. I'd destroy him. Yeah, everybody wants to see him get beat up

Holler if you hear that.
