Who's Matt Bentley?! That's a really good question. And the answer is relatively simple: he's Shawn Michaels' cousin. That's about it.

Why should you care? That's another good question. Bentley's wrestling career was obviously much less noteworthy than Michaels': you might know him better from his days in TNA as Michael Shane - a clear reference to his relative.

The likeness didn't extend much beyond a similar sobriquet plus stealing Michael's signature superkick and top-rope elbow drop. Shane nevertheless enjoyed a relatively long run in the Nashville company, claiming the X Division Title on two occasions. He even contended a match of the year contest with Chris Sabin and Frankie Kazarian during his rookie year.

This was about as good as it got for Shane. After his TNA release in 2007, Michaels-lite briefly came to WWE where he lost a single squash on SmackDown, after which his wrestling career was virtually over.

Mind you, his band Lost in Chaos was nominated as 'best band in Florida' in 2009. Even the highly-decorated Heartbreak Kid can't make that claim.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
