8 Wrestling Angles Which Exploited Real Life Deaths
6. Jim Neidhart On A Table
Jim Neidhart, father of Natalya, took part in one final WWE storyline alongside his daughter in 2018. The only problem is that The Anvil had passed away a few months prior.
During her feud with Ruby Riott, and the rest of the Riott Squad, the leader of the stable had already begun using Neidhart's death as fuel for the flames.
While Natalya was using her father as inspiration moving into Survivor Series of that year, and an eventual Raw Women's Championship match against Ronda Rousey, Riott was smashing The Anvil's iconic glasses to get at the veteran of the women's division.
The cherry on top of the cruelty cake was Riott's Christmas present for Natalya.
With the two slated to face each other in a tables match at TLC, Riott revealed a special table that she would be using for the match. As you could guess from the image above, the table had a life sized Jim Neidhart plastered across it.
Thankfully, Natalya was never put through it, but the third-generation star has since defended the angle, saying that her father would have understood, having lived and breathed the wrestling industry himself for decades.
Still, making a wrestler work a program with their dead dad on a table isn't exactly pleasant.
