8 Wrestling Careers Ruined By Jumping To The Other Side

7. Dean Malenko - From WCW To WWF - 2000

Dean Malenko was a technical force on the WCW mid-card from 1995 til his departure in 2000. He held the Cruiserweight Championship and United States Heavyweight Championship a number of times and became known for some incredible matches and feuds with the likes of Chris Jericho, Ultimo Dragon, Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. In '99 and '00, WCW creative lost control of the incredible Crusierweight division that had once made their mid-card so fantastic, as a result, Dean Malenko was bounced around from faction to faction, tag-team to tag-team until he left for pastures greener. Many of WCW's Cruiserweight and mid-card wrestlers became major forces in the WWF's attitude era, but Dean Malenko didn't seem to fit in to what was going on at the WWF at the time. His technical wrestling and athletic ability was impressive, but he didn't compare favorably to similar wrestlers who had far more charisma as performers, such as Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle. After the group known as the Radicalz broke up, so Guerrero and Benoit could be pushed in solo careers, Malenko quietly retired and became an integral part of the WWE training staff.
