8 Wrestling Champions That Left For The Other Side
4. Jeff Jarrett As WWE Intercontinental Champion To WCW
Jeff Jarrett is one of those guys that was born to be in wrestling. His dad Jerry Jarrett was a long time promoter and Jeff started wrestling when he was just 18 years old. He got signed by WWE in his mid-20s in 1993 and was pushed as a midcard performer for about four years. His "J-E-Double F- haha J-A-Double R-E-Double T" promos were memorable although he wasn't able to break through as a top guy. He worked for WCW for one year and returned to WWE in October 1997. His return saw him back in the midcard scene. That's where he was for the next two years as he held the Intercontinental Title in 1999. He was feuding with Chyna over the IC Title leading up to the No Mercy 1999 PPV that October. With his contract expiring one day before No Mercy, Jarrett held up WWE for a one night payday of $300,000. That's how much he got paid just to drop the IC Title to Chyna. The next night, Jarrett returned to WCW thanks to his buddy Vince Russo joining them as the head of the creative team. He was in WCW until their final days. http://youtu.be/50KqJrpykQI McMahon was so upset about paying Jarrett for his one night of work that when he bought WCW he publicly fired him on Raw. Jarrett's another guy that WWE will not mention on their shows.
