8 Wrestling Heel Turns That Were Immediately Reversed
5. Jeff Hardy
Jeff Hardy as a heel has never really worked, if we're honest. Even after a brilliant turn in TNA eight years ago - after which he joined forces with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff - he still struggled to turn the fans completely against him.
These same problems followed his initial switch to the dark side in 2003, where a falling out with kindred spirit Shawn Michaels (who had offered to take the young star under his wing) saw him develop an uncharacteristic arrogant streak.
The fans weren't really buying it though, perhaps because Jeff was only a couple of months removed from that epic Ladder Match showdown with The Undertaker, from which he came away with bucket loads of goodwill.
There was another problem too: HBK's primary focus around this time was Chris Jericho, whom he would go on to face at WrestleMania XIX. The Hardy thing just felt like a transitional storyline (and ultimately that's all it was: the latter was back fighting the side of good a month later).
