8 Wrestling Heel Turns That Were Immediately Reversed
6. Ron Simmons
In the kayfabe world, there are few wrestlers as inoffensive as Ron Simmons, whose primary role over the last 15 years has been occasionally popping up during comedic backstage segments to say the word "damn".
He did, however, have a very brief run as a heel in 2002, shortly after splitting from long-time running mate Bradshaw. It was a pretty radical 180 too: he went from drinking and playing cards to getting right with Jesus, joining up with Reverand D-Von for a short-lived tag team.
But since the whole Reverand D-Von thing itself was never likely to last more than a couple of months, Simmons was promptly turned back into a face, taking a short break from TV before returning to reboot The APA.
And that run too lasted a matter of months, before Bradshaw remembered that he was actually a self-made millionaire worthy of competing for the WWE Championship. Some people just can't catch a break.
