8 Wrestling Statistics That Will Blow Your Mind

6. Most Frequently Used Wrestling Venue

This one is easy. It has to be Madison Square Garden. The arena has featured professional wrestling events for decades and continues to be one of WWE€™s favorite places to hold shows. However, it€™s not the World€™s Most Famous Arena that holds the distinction of being home to the most professional wrestling events in history. Instead, the New Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky holds that honor. The Kentucky arena has been the home of Ohio Valley Wrestling€™s weekly television tapings since September of 2002. Therefore, maybe it shouldn€™t be so surprising that the New Davis Arena has held the most wrestling shows. Madison Square Garden, on the other hand, is still near the top of the list. MSG holds the fourth place rank -- with 413 cards -- behind TNA€™s Impact Zone and Japan€™s Korakuen Hall. The Impact Zone clenched the third place position with 513 shows, thanks to their frequent television tapings and PPVs. Meanwhile, Korakuen Hall has been the host of 644 wrestling events since it opened in 1962. The Tokyo arena is often referred to as the Madison Square Garden of Japan. However, despite MSG and Korakuen Hall being more highly regarded arenas, one can€™t discredit the New Davis Arena and its continued dedication to housing professional wrestling events.
