Although not the only reason for his highly-publicised departure from the WWE, one of the most vehement gripes CM Punk cited was concerns about his health. On his now-infamous podcast with Colt Cabana, Punk made several claims which - if true - are a horrendous indictment of the company's attitude towards its wrestlers' wellbeing. Punk was given very little time to recuperate from injuries sustained in the ring, and eventually picked up a staph infection which was allowed to go unchecked for weeks. Although Punk's injuries were clearly severe enough to cause him great discomfort and disillusionment with the wrestling industry, they haven't prevented him from signing a UFC contract, perhaps implying that he got out of the company just in time.
