A competitor in all three major wrestling promotions of the 1990s, Saturn originally tore his ACL working for ECW. In 1997 he landed on a crutch while performing a kick, and arguably rushed himself back to action. Despite being given a year to recover, he underwent reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation in just three months, returning to in-ring action immediately after. Miraculously, Saturn avoided re-injuring himself until 2002 - now as part of the WWF roster. In a demonstration of just how inflated and competitive the locker room had become in the wake of the Invasion, Perry was sadly released from his contract before his recovery, despite needing only four months to do so. Proving himself a legitimate tough nut, he immediately found new employment, touring Europe with the World Wrestling All-Stars before signing with the fledgling TNA promotion.
