2. Mike Adamle

Mike Adamle came across as larger-than-life when hosting American Gladiators, and similar to Mauro Ranallo, he had a pretty big reputation before coming to WWE. Unlike Ranallo, however, he failed to adapt to the WWE style upon arriving in the company in early 2008.

It was all downhill from there.

The weird thing is that, despite failing at every job he had, WWE continued to promote him to more prominent roles. After becoming notorious for always botching people's names as an interviewer, he became the play-by-play commentator for ECW. He then bombed at that gig, but for whatever reason, Vince McMahon remained confident that he could be a valuable asset to them. Thus, he was soon appointed the new Raw General Manager.

The "Adamle Era" is better off forgotten, but in the company's defense, perhaps they were simply trying to make it feel like they weren't wasting the obscene amount of money they were paying him. That didn't last long, and once Vince McMahon realized the Adamle experiment was a miserable failure, he pulled the plug on it and fired him in November 2008.
