8 WWE Dream Matches That Happened Way Too Late

8. Hulk Hogan Vs. Bret Hart

The Hitman has held a grudge against The Hulkster for many, many years, stemming from Hogan's reluctance/refusal to work with and put over Bret in 1993. Bret was the rising star and felt that a convincing victory over Hogan would solidify his main event status. Hulk, however, wanted to be a movie star. The match didn't happen. Which is a shame because, as limited as Hogan was, if there was one person who could have gotten a great match out of him, it's Bret Hart. Renowned for being able to carry lesser workers to decent matches, The Excellence of Execution would have made it his mission to get the best out of The Immortal One. The match did finally go down five years later in WCW. By this point Bret was not the same performer that he once was. A year of directionless, meaningless matches and storylines had sapped him of his enthusiasm and energy. The upshot was that their match on the September 28th 1998 Nitro was disappointing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQKVtxXN51s
