8 WWE Dream Matches That Happened Way Too Late

7. Kurt Angle Vs. Ric Flair

Kurt Angle and Ric Flair are two of the greatest wrestlers of all-time. Flair owned the 1980s and, it could be argued, that Kurt was the best wrestler of the 2000s. Nobody in the history of the business picked up the pro game as quickly as the Olympic gold medalist did. So, on paper, a match between the two sounds pretty damn appealing. These two, if they had've clashed when both were at their respective peaks, could have had one of, if not the, greatest matches of all time. Following a hilarious woo-off on the June 27th 2005 Raw, the match was made and, you know what? It was actually pretty good. Even though Flair was well past-his-prime and could struggle at times (he fell off the ropes during the pop up superplex spot here), he could still bring it when the occasion called for it. Angle, meanwhile, was surprising everyone with his high level or performance when most people were wondering how he was still able to walk after his rash of serious injuries. Going almost twenty minutes, this is something of a minor classic. Had it happened in another era, however, it would have been a bonafide one.
