8 WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 Impulse Reactions

3. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) Vs. Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair

Disappointing in the extreme, the hurried build to this Tag Team Title match was instead sacrificed to the longer term story being told between Sasha Banks and Reginald. More's the pity.

When the four women faced off a fortnight before the pay-per-view, the prospect of Banks and Bianca Belair as Tag Team Champions going to war at WrestleMania was an appealing one. Not least with the prospect of them working against Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai as a cynical ratings grab for the March 3rd NXT.

We'll instead get the far more logical bout between the Dusty Cup winners and retaining Champions (Shayna Baszler and Kai established their long past last week), but 'The Queen Of Spades' and Nia Jax aren't in home run form.

Lacking any gags about Nia's hole nor the violence dominance that made Baszler this time last year, this entire presentation was neither one thing nor the other unless another non-contact lucha match with a sommelier is your thing. It certainly appears to be Bruce Prichard's - Belair best confirm the WrestleMania match with Banks before Reginald himself gets the shot.
