8 WWE NXT UK Stars Who Could Eventually Thrive On WWE's Main Roster
1. Pete Dunne
Pete Dunne has always been destined for super stardom on WWE's main roster, and it's possible he would have wound up on Raw or SmackDown Live ages ago if it wasn't necessary for him to hold down the fort in NXT UK for as long as he has.
Despite falling short of becoming the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion at the onset of 2017, he avenged his loss to Tyler Bate four months later at NXT TakeOver: Chicago and kicked off a record-setting reign with the title. No one knew at that point how historic his time with the title would be, and in the two years that followed, he evolved into a mega star by always having the best match of the night, no matter where he was.
Trent Seven, Mark Andrews, Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Zack Gibson, Jordan Devlin, Danny Burch and Joe Coffey were only some of the challengers Dunne defeated during his reign. As soon as he dropped the strap to WALTER after almost two years, rumors ran rampant regarding his imminent future on the main roster.
As of this writing, he has yet to surface on SmackDown or Raw, but one has to assume that it's only inevitable. He excels in all areas, and when the time comes for him to get that elusive call-up, he'll have no problem settling into a solid upper-midcard role for himself (and even that's lowballing it).
