7. Neville Levels Aries Again

Would it be an exaggeration to call Neville and Austin Aries the current two best workers in WWE? Yes? OK.

Hyperbole aside, the pair's feud has been fantastic, a weekly highlight on Raw seldom given the time or prominence it deserves. Like a sheath of toilet tissue, the feud might be starting to wear a little thin through repeated use, and there's only one possible outcome in this simile. Ideally, Payback will witness its conclusion.

It isn't immediately clear exactly which is the best route for the company to take here. Feuds generally shouldn't end with the babyface on the losing side unless the heel is set to move onto greater things, but it's hard to see how Neville can progress; being Cruiserweight champion has pigeon-holed him in the sub-205 division, and we already know the company have little interest in utilising his considerable talents higher up the card. As such, it probably makes sense to keep the strap around the Geordie's waist - especially as he's been such a stellar champ.

There is no better proponent of the purple division than Neville, so expect him to leave San Jose on Sunday with the gold still over his shoulder (or at least, in TJ Perkins hold-all). It's just not in the stars for Aries.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
