8 WWE Returns That Were Much Better Than Expected

The women's Royal Rumble notwithstanding, Trish Stratus' tag contest alongside Lita at WWE Evolution was the Hall of Famer's first proper wrestling match in over seven years. As fantastic as her physical fitness unquestionably is, it was fairly reasonable to expect the seven-time Women's champ to be carrying some verdigris after nearly a decade out to pasture.

With two rusty old-timers on one side of the equation, and Alicia Fox subbing for Alexa Bliss on the other - a downgrade if ever there was one - it seemed the task fell to consummate pro Mickie James to keep the whole thing from crumbling.

Not so; with a little helping hand from her long-time rival, you'd be forgiven for thinking Trish had never left. She re-emerged in such fine fettle that the possibility of more matches to come soon surfaced.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
