7. Andrade (c) Vs. Humberto Carrillo

Andrade and Humberto Carrillo's Monday Night Raw feud was rooted in the element of surprise.

It was a nice surprise to see Carrillo defeat the current United States Champion twice in December, a cool surprise to see him return in a Rey Mysterio mask on the go-home edition of the show, and a huge surprise that the company even remembered the former to join it to the latter.

It's perhaps why the company went with this for the finish - a match yet to get out of third gear was rather succinctly wrapped by Andrade trapping the Challenger for a quick three after a late burst of offence from the exciting young star.

This understated title clash wasn't terrible - far from it - but it felt as though it was being worked under strict instructions to not outperform anything on the main card. For skilled technicians such as these two, this task appeared tougher than just going full tilt for the 14 minutes that they were afforded, but fair play to them for taking this one for the team. As with the opener, they'll get their proper go on television instead.
